La Crosse caregiver is charged with Battery to a Vulnerable Adult

A La Crosse woman is facing multiple charges following a domestic incident Thursday.

Lynne A. Thompson, an employee of Care Wisconsin, is charged with Battery to a Vulnerable Adult and Disorderly Conduct following a dispute between her and her roommate, the person she was caring for.

La Crosse police received a call November 21 at 12:21 a.m. from a bystander regarding a dispute between two roommates.

The victim told police that her roommate, Lynne Thompson, was intoxicated when she came home, and they got into an argument. The victim told Thompson that she had paperwork stating they would not be roommates anymore, and she needed to leave the apartment, along with her brother who also lived there. The argument intensified and the victim told police that Thompson then pushed her hard in the bathroom, and she hit her head on the wall. Thompson left the apartment following the incident.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of a 2-inch cut on the side of her head.
