La Crosse Center prepares for next phase of construction

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) The La Crosse Center is getting ready for its next phase of construction.

North Hall will be coming down at the beginning of March.

The La Crosse Center Board is discussing how they will continue operating during this major part of the construction.

The center’s director says they have a few plans in place to make sure operations run as smoothly as possible.

“We have to work hand in hand with the construction manager because as those people come in and out during the course of events we need to make sure they can still work and be safe, and at the same time our vendors can get in and out and be safe with all that activity going around them,” said Art Fahey, Director of the La Crosse Center.

Some upcoming, temporary changes include new locations to event entrances and loading zones for venders.

The remodeled North Hall will have an additional 3,000 square feet, plus solar panels on the roof of the arena.
