La Crosse church to hold vigil for Sikh temple shooting victims
LA CROSSE, Wis. — A La Crosse church will hold an interfaith peace vigil Wednesday night for the victims of the Sikh temple shooting in Oak Creek.
The vigil at Wesley United Methodist Church (721 King Street) is at 6:30 p.m. and will include faith leaders from all over the city, including La Crosse Interfaith Peace & Justice Network, the Othman Bin Affan Mosque, La Crosse Are Synod ELCA, Franciscan Spirituality Center, Congregation of Sons of Abraham and the Diamond Way Buddhist Center.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m. An offering will also be collected to benefit the Sikh community in Oak Creek.
