La Crosse Co. medical examiner investigating three opioid overdose deaths in past week
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The La Crosse County medical examiner is investigating three overdose deaths in just the past week.
According to Medical Examiner Tim Candahl, the deaths are “suspicious” and they are trying to determine if they involved the powerful opioid Fentanyl.
So far this year, Candahl says there have been 25 overdose deaths in the county, two have been intentional and 19 involved Fentanyl.
In comparison, there were 22 drug-related deaths in all of last year, 24 in 2018, and 29 in 2017.
