La Crosse committee approves plan to buy building for affordable housing

LA CROSSE (WKBT)- The City of La Crosse’s financial and personnel committee has approved a resolution to buy a building for an affordable housing project.

As News 8 Now has previously reported, the city has planned to buy the Marine Credit building on Monitor Street and renovate it into more than 30 affordable housing units.

Common Council has a next meeting next week Thursday, where council members will vote to approve or deny the project.
