La Crosse County Historical Society designing new building
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — The La Crosse County Historical Society is in the early stages of designing a new museum.
Employees say they are running out of storage at their current office on West Avenue and they want a new space to help the community learn more about the Coulee Region’s history.
“Once we have it all under one roof, with programming area, with bigger galleries, we can have more exhibits of different factions of local history, tell more stories about the region,” said Executive Director of the La Crosse County Historical Society Peggy Derrick.
The historical society is still considering several locations.
A final plan could be ready anywhere from two to ten years from now.
