La Crosse County Library System hosting petting zoo for good cause
HOLMEN, Wis. (WKBT) — The La Crosse County Library System is going a bit wild — hosting a petting zoo for a good cause.
Representatives of a family-owned farm from Rochester, Minnesota, brought their animals to the Holmen Area Branch Library so children can read to them and also help animals in the area.
“We have a community goal inside where kids can when they check out books, contribute to a mosaic, and when the mosaic in each of our five locations are completed, we’ll give a donation to the Coulee Region Humane Society,” said youth services coordinator Dawn Lippman. “So kids are helping out animals all across La Crosse County.”
If you missed the animals today, you have another chance from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Onalaska Library.
