La Crosse emergency response crews honored with appreciation lunch
La Crosse community thanking emergency response workers for their work over past year
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The community honored La Crosse police officers, firefighters, and EMTs with an appreciation lunch Sunday. Barb and Greg Grob wanted to say thank you to the service departments for all the work they’ve done in the past year.
The couple teamed up with CrossFit owner Kevin Reynolds and the Aquinas Impact Club to serve the departments. All of the food was donated by the Grob family who says they just wanted to give back.
“It’s been a rough year for everyone and nobody’s said thank you to our service departments so we wanted to say thank you to them,” Barb Grob, a teacher at Aquinas Catholic Schools. “Were able to finally see people’s faces and say thank you to them in person.”
The lunch is even delivering some meals to the groups who were not able to make it.
