La Crosse Habitat for Humanity moves into new building
Habitat ReStore, offices now in building of Hwy. 16
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — After nearly two years of looking, the Habitat for Humanity’s Restore in La Crosse finally has a place to call home.
The non-profit cut the ribbon on the its new building Thursday. It’s located on Berlin Drive in La Crosse in the International Business Park near the La Crosse County landfill off of Highway 16.
The new space is double the size of its old building on third street downtown. The extra room allows the restore to collect more donations and in turn help more people.
“We actually raising funds in an economical and environmentally friendly way and we’re going to be able to continue to build houses and do repairs in the community,” said Habitat for Humanity Executive Director Amanda Acklin.
The store opens back up this Saturday, October 25 at 9 a.m.
