La Crosse ‘Hatched Baby’ sculpture head missing outside City Hall

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The ‘Hatched Baby’ sculpture outside La Crosse’s City Hall is gone. A photo of the head was posted to Barstool Sports La Crosse’s Instagram account Sunday.

The 9-foot tall sculpture was installed IN 2018 on the south lawn of La Crosse’s City Hall. It was loaned to the city by an artist in our sister city, Friedberg, Germany. Since 2018, the sculpture has been a conversation topic for many people in the community about its place in the city.
