Worthington was hired to care for victim's father

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A La Crosse home care worker appeared in court Tuesday, accused of sexually assaulting a child and possessing child pornography.

45-year-old Lawrence Worthington is charged with Repeated Sexual Assault of a Child and Possession of Child Pornography.

According to the criminal complaint, Worthington held the 8-year-old boy and touched his genitals on multiple occasions. The boy told police the contact began this summer.

Investigators also found several images of prepubescent boys on Worthington’s computer during the investigation.

Worthington was hired to take care of the victim’s father, visiting the family’s home twice a day.
