Yia Vang charged with recklessly endangering safety

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A 34 year old La Crosse man is charged with recklessly endangering safety after leading police on a high speed chase this weekend.

Yia Vang made his initial appearance in court on Monday.

On Saturday night police tried to pull Vang over on 5th street in La Crosse. Vang sped off and ran several stop signs.

Police later found his car abandoned and up a curb where it appears to have hit a tree. Police found and arrested Vang nearby.

Vang is expected back in court on Tuesday.
