La Crosse Parks and Rec. and Rush Wisconsin West enter partnership

A partnership will help add to the recreational opportunities in our area.

The City of La Crosse’s Parks and Recreation Department and Rush Wisconsin West Soccer Club entered an agreement this week.

Under the agreement, the Parks department will get to use the Field for Kids facility for games on Saturdays.

Practices will still be held at local schools.

While a lot will feel familiar to previous years, there are some changes to how kids will learn the sport.

“Rush soccer will be adding in their curriculum, some of their practice plans, integrating some of their coaching techniques into our programs as well,” said McKenzie Wilson, La Crosse Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department recreation coordinator.

The partnership will officially go into effect in the spring.
