La Crosse PD Assistant Chief completes FBI training program
Asst. Chief Abraham took 10 weeks of courses
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The La Crosse Police Department is recognizing a special honor for one of its own.
Assistant Chief Rob Abraham recently graduated from the FBI’s National Academy Program, which offers two and a half months of advanced law enforcement leadership training.
Abraham was one of more than 200 law enforcement members from across the world to graduate the most recent session.
He says making connections with colleagues from across the country and the FBI can be beneficial when it comes to an investigation.
“It makes the world smaller as far as the criminals out there, the networking, but it provides the opportunity for the FBI to build stronger partnerships with local law enforcement agencies,” said Abraham.
Less than one percent of all law enforcement officers across the country are chosen to attend the academy.
Abraham joins La Crosse Police Chief Ron Tischer, Captain Shawn Kudron and Lieutenant Pat Hogan as members of the department to graduate from the program.
