LA CROSSE, Wis.– Candidates hoping to become the next La Crosse chief of police go in front of the city’s Police and Fire Commission this week.

The commission is interviewing six applicants Thursday and Friday. Officials would not say who is being interviewed, but confirmed some are from the La Crosse area.
