UPDATE: La Crosse armed robbery suspects appear in court

LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Three men accused in an armed robbery in La Crosse made an appearance in court Friday.

According to the criminal complaint, a man — identified in the complaint as T.T. — reported being robbed at gunpoint by three people at the West George Street Kwik Trip Tuesday afternoon at 1:35 p.m.

T.T. said he knew the three individuals — later identified by police as 24-year-old Taron Hill, 21-year-old Jacorrie Benoit, and 20-year-old Thaylon Boutte — through previous employment at Ashley Furniture. T.T. received a ride to the West George Kwik Trip from Motel 6 Tuesday afternoon with them. According to the complaint, Hill asked T.T. if he could borrow $200 dollars, to which T.T. refused. Hill allegedly entered the Kwik Trip, came back to the vehicle and pointed a gun at T.T., demanding money. Hill gave them the money and left the vehicle.

La Crosse County Sheriff’s deputies stopped their vehicle at Lloyd’s Speedstop in West Salem. Hill, Benoit and Boutte were arrested and a search warrant turned up a 9 mm Smith and Wesson pistol.

All three face armed robbery as party to a crime, Boutte also faces possession of THC.

Each are out on bond and due back in court Sept. 1.
