La Crosse Police Department to host bike auction this weekend
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Anyone whose lost or stolen bicycle was recovered by the La Crosse Police Department has one more chance to claim it before it goes on the auction block.
The Department will host its annual Fall Bike Auction this Saturday. Bicycles held in the Police Impound Building will be up for auction that morning.
If you think the Department is holding onto your bike you can look through the Isle la Plume building Wednesday night, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
“We have a lot of good bicycles, a lot of good things down there that go unclaimed every year and, ultimately, this is a way to get rid of them and keep them in service,” said La Crosse Police Department Sergeant Tom Walsh.
Anyone interested in attending this Saturday’s bicycle auction can find it at the Police Impound Building on Isle La Plume. The building will open at 9:00 a.m. with the auction beginning an hour later.
