La Crosse police make arrests after high-speed pursuit
Suspect drove about 85 to 90 mph
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — La Crosse police arrested two suspects after a high-speed vehicle pursuit on Monday afternoon.
Two La Crosse Police Neighborhood Response Officers tried to stop a vehicle at 614 Monitor Street when the vehicle took off fast. Police said the vehicle traveled southbound on Copeland Avenue and then turned on South 2nd Street at about 85 to 90 mph. The officers called off the pursuit.
Police found the vehicle in the Municipal Boat Harbor parking lot on Isle La Plume minutes later. The driver and one passenger had left the vehicle. La Crosse police quickly found and arrested the driver and passenger.
Names of the suspects were not released. The investigation is ongoing.
