La Crosse police to hand out Packers cards
Cards have safety tip on back
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — La Crosse police officers have full sets of Green Bay Packers playing cards to hand out to children they meet in the community.
The 20-card sets feature a Packers player and have an important safety tip on the back.
La Crosse police said the safety tips are written by elementary students from across the state of Wisconsin.
“These playing cards will be another great way for our Officers to connect with the children in our community,” La Crosse Police Chief Ron Tischer said. “We’re hoping that once the kids know the cards are available, it’ll help break the ice and encourage them to say hi to an Officer.”
The 20-card set includes: General Manager Ted Thompson, Head Coach Mike McCarthy, Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb, T.J. Lang, Josh Sitton, David Bakhtiari, Eddie Lacy, John Kuhn, B.J. Raji, Mike Daniels, A.J. Hawk, Clay Matthews, Tramon Williams, Morgan Burnett, Sam Shields, Julius Peppers, Mason Crosby, and Tim Masthay.
