La Crosse Public Libraries looking to cut spending
Library to begin efficiency study on its operations
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Now that La Crosse Libraries have funding through next year the library board is looking at towards the future.
The board looked at recommendations Thursday night made by the Library Task Force to help cut some of its spending.
The board is going through with one of the recommendations already which is to do an efficiency study on the library operations. The study would help them figure out how to cut costs looking in to 2016.
“I am optimistic that the study will reveal there are things we need to work on, there’s no question, but hopeful we’re doing a few things right too and in the end I think we’ll profit from it in learning what we need to focus on,” said La Crosse Public Library Chair Tom Sleik.
The board will continue to look through all of the recommendations made throughout the year.
