La Crosse receives Wisconsin Active Together award
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Efforts to make La Crosse a better community for biking is recognized.
The Wisconsin Active Together award is given to the city for making progress toward making city roads and trails friendly for all pedestrians including bikers and walkers
Bicycle enthusiasts in the community say this recognition reflects the work of many community organizations.
“This is a great opportunity to demonstrate to the rest of the state how well we’ve done here and to highlight and showcase our successes,” said biking advocate James Longhurst.
La Crosse is one of seven communities in the state to get the award.
