La Crosse Regional Airport to add service to new destination
Airport received $750,000 Department of Transportation grant
LA CROSSE, WI — The La Crosse Regional Airport received at $750,000 Department of Transportation grant that will go towards obtaining new non-stop airline service to a new service destination.
Airport Manager Clinton Torp says he’s exploring several options, including non-stop service to Dallas-Fort Worth.
“The La Crosse Regional Airport will be busy working on new service options over the next several months in conjunction with this grant award,” Torp said in a statement. “I look forward to enhancing the air service options to our community and I think the community for its ongoing support.”
The La Crosse Regional Airport is one of 25 airports receiving a 2013 Small Community Air Service Development Grant.
“Opening up new service options here in La Crosse will enhance the airport’s ability to offer great service,” said Congressman Ron Kind, who has been a strong supporter of the La Crosse Regional Airport. “This grant award is great news for the traveling public, local businesses and military personnel who rely on the La Crosse Regional Airport.”
