La Crosse releases report on use of federal grants, seeking public opinion
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The City of La Crosse wants your comments on how the city spent a nearly 3 million dollar federal grant.
The City released its Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report Wednesday, known as CAPER. The report shows how La Crosse used the federal Community Development Block Grant, and HOME Investment Partnerships Program.
In total, the city used $2.8 million last year on various housing, neighborhood, and business programs.
“It just includes a lot of information for people on what we did with it, and what were the results of the program. We’re hoping that the public takes a read of it and submits comments online,” said La Crosse Community Development Administrator Caroline Gregerson.
You can find the full reports and how to comment on the city’s website. City officials will also host a public hearing on the CAPER findings on June 12 at 4:00 p.m. in City Hall’s third floor conference room.
