La Crosse Showtime wrap up their first season
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The La Crosse Showtime played their final game of the season at home Sunday while taking time to appreciate their fans.
The 2017-2018 season was the Showtime’s first ever season in the American Basketball Association. They went into Sunday’s game with 8 wins and 8 losses and were 6th place in the division.
Team leaders said they are happy to bring the Showtime to a community that appreciates it.
“Basketball has had a nice rich history here in La Crosse so we’re excited to bring it back and I’m just glad to be a part of it and be able to coach these guys,” said Showtime owner, general manager and head coach Scott Booler.
The team said they plan on returning to the La Crosse Center for their home games again next season.
