La Crosse Skyrockers hold firework demonstration
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — The La Crosse Skyrockers hosted free demonstrations for people interested in fireworks.
Volunteers had different kinds of fireworks and equipment to show people what it’s like behind the scenes.
People could see what the inside of a firework looks like and how they are set up.
They explained the science behind fireworks and how to use them safely.
There’s a lot more than goes into it than you may think.
“We have to get all our guns in the ground and buried. We’ve got electronics here that we have to program and get ready to go. There’s a lot of planning on the backside that goes in to it. It’s three months of planning for 17 minutes to shoot,” said Marty Schmal, Vice President of La Crosse Skyrockers.
The La Crosse Skyrockers are celebrating their 90th year in the area.
They are preparing for New Years and are looking for donations.
