La Crosse Street, South Avenue improvements highway projects coming in La Crosse County

Plans for bridge work on County Highway D and reconditioning work on County Highway M.

LA CROSSE CO, Wis. (WKBT) – The La Crosse County Highway Department is planning for two projects in 2022.

In the County’s annual report list plans for bridge work on County Highway D and reconditioning work on County Highway M.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation will also work on Highway M.

Also coming in 2022, WisDOT crews will start improvements to La Crosse Street between Oakland Street and Losey Boulevard are planned to start June 6th.

That is right after WIAA State Track and Field Champions at UW-La Crosse.

And in late summer, construction is expected to begin on South Avenue between Green Bay Street and Ward Avenue.

Pavement will also be replaced along with adding three roundabouts.
