La Crosse students’ academic achievements celebrated
4696130LA CROSSE, Wis. — Getting good grades takes hard work and dedication. Monday night, our community recognized that hard work put forth by La Crosse high school students at the 26th annual Academic Achievement Recognition Ceremony. The event was held at Viterbo University.
Students from Central, Logan and La Crossroads high schools who earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher earned an award.
La Crosse’s superintendent says it’s important to give hard-working students the credit they deserve. “Success breeds success. What we want to do is hold up these students who are doing such great work in our classrooms. We want more students to be in that same light next year as well. It’s an important thing to help our students recognize and acknowledge the great work they’re doing, so that they continue to do that work and continue to find that success,” says Superintendent Randy Nelson.
More than 500 students were recognized.
