La Crosse students get lesson in kindness
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Students in La Crosse are learning special lessons in kindness.
Hintgen Elementary School had a day-long retreat at Central High School to teach students the importance of kindness, to be respectful and to make their school and community a better place.
Students had the opportunity to participate in trust-building exercises and to share their feelings about things that they see and hear at school.
“Those are the kids there with every day that some of them might not be kind to each other and if they’re learning together they should all be kind to each other, I think that will help even now and in years to come,” said Central junior Wesley Barnhart.
Members of Central’s Student Link Crew and staff from Hintgen helped with Friday’s events.
