La Crosse tattoo shop delivers $8k worth of toys to Gundersen
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — From money to meals, people throughout our area have been giving back to the community this season.
A local business is show is showing that the giving spirit is more than just skin deep.
$8,000 worth of toys were delivered to Gundersen Health System in La Crosse Monday.
The toys come from an annual drive at Mind Altering Tattoos.
Customers could get a discount on their tattoos if they donated a toy.
Hospital staff say they are touched by the donation.
“This is like Christmas for me too, we work all year with these kids and knowing that we have these toys to give them for presents, for rewards for difficult procedures, it makes our jobs a lot easier,” said Rachael Kaiser, Gundersen Health System Child Life Specialist.
This is the 22nd year of the toy drive.
