PREVIOUS STORY (Monday, November 10):

As mentioned in the forecast Monday, our turn for accumulating snow was to come after midnight and into Tuesday morning.

StormTeam 8 Meteorologist Bill Graul said a quick 1″-3″ of snow is likely in most areas in our region, with some isolated 4″ amounts possible. Combined with the 1″-2″ that fell Monday, some of our northern communities could end up with around 5-6″ of snow.

As expected, the heavy snow with a strong winter storm stayed to our north Monday. Anywhere from 10″ to 16.5″ of snow fell in a band from Central Minnesota into Northern Wisconsin. Eleven-inches of snow even fell as close as Rice Lake, Wisconsin.

Our region’s first wide-spread snowfall is possible Monday through Tuesday.

StormTeam 8 Meteorologist Bill Graul said La Crosse and areas near and south of I-90 will only see a trace to 2″ with most of this not falling until midnight through Noon Tuesday.

Snow totals go up as you head north, with as much as 4″-6″ near and north of Eau Claire. The heaviest snow with this storm will be well to our north across Central Minnesota and into Northern Wisconsin
