Lake Altoona boat landing improvements announced

EAU CLAIRE COUNTY, WI — Construction will begin at the Lake Altoona Park Boat Landing and parking lot on September 3.

The Eau Claire County Parks & Forest Department made the announcement Monday morning.

The department says the project will create handicap access and repave the parking lot. There will be boat landing closures throughout the project. The department says efforts are in place to keep them to a minimum.

During boat landing closures, boaters are encouraged to use the Highline Forest Road boat landing, off of North Shore Drive on the Eau Claire River.
