Land conservation leaders to meet in Milwaukee
MILWAUKEE (AP) — About 1,500 of the nation’s land conservation leaders plan to gather in Milwaukee for a conference.
The National Land Conservation Conference will be meeting in downtown Milwaukee from Thursday through Sunday.
Keynote speakers include Will Allen, founder of Milwaukee’s Growing Power and Will Rogers, chief executive officer of the Trust for Public Land, which takes on urban redevelopment projects.
VISIT Milwaukee estimates the conference will have an economic impact of $1.65 million.
Attendees include conservation leaders, government officials and academics.
