Larry Russell Davidson

Larry R. Davidson, 64, of Chatfield passed away on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at Mayo Clinic Hospital St. Mary’s Campus in Rochester.

Larry Russell Davidson was born January 8, 1957, in Rochester to Ervin and Mary (Sparrow) Davidson. He graduated from Chatfield High School in 1975. He enlisted in the Minnesota National Guard after high school and served 8 years. On August 7, 1976, Larry married Laurie Smith at Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Chatfield. Larry enjoyed hunting and fishing, but most of all being around his grandchildren. He worked for Darling International.

Larry is survived by his wife, Laurie; 2 children, Matthew of Chatfield, Michaelee (Savy) Vath of Rochester; 6 grandchildren, Arian, Khavy, Gabrielle, Iyone, Savy, Nikko; 2 great-grandchildren; Parents, Ervin and Mary of Chatfield; brother, Donald (Kelly) of Wykoff; 3 sisters, Pamela Bluhm of Chatfield, Debra Smith of Chatfield, Nancy (Len) Klein of Fairlawn, OH.

Larry was preceded in death by his brother Richard.

Funeral service for Larry will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 21, at Pioneer Presbyterian Church in Chatfield, with Pastor Timothy J. Gerarden officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. before service at the church. Burial will be at Sumner Presbyterian Cemetery in rural Chatfield, following the services at church.
