Leap Year babies born in La Crosse
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — A group of newborns in La Crosse will always have a very special birthday to remember.
A number of ‘Leap Day babies’ were born Monday in La Crosse.
Gundersen Health System says they were expecting five deliveries while Mayo Clinic Health System was still waiting on their first leap year newborn at last check.
The mom of one Leap Day baby born at Gundersen Monday morning says planning her new daughter’s birthday will be a challenge.
“We have a three year old at home, she just turned three last Monday. We decided, I think, maybe we’ll celebrate her birthday in March so they kind of have their own months, but who knows I guess,” said Tara Etrheim.
Rowan Amelia was born at 4:19 Monday morning.
