Lederhosen Luncheon showcases German heritage
LA CROSSE, WI — Oktoberfest festivities continued at the southside fest grounds Monday.
Festers got a taste of German heritage at the Lederhosen Luncheon Monday afternoon.
They enjoyed brats and pork sandwiches, German potato salad and a German chocolate brownie.
It’s a little taste of the traditional Oktoberfest celebration. “Everybody comes dressed up, they come getting ready to eat lunch and listen to a great band that we have from New Ulm that come dressed up in the Lederhosen and Dirndl, and it’s just a comradere event that we give to the local community to get a little bit of that German heritage,” said Angie Coenen.
