‘Let’s Go Fishing’ starts at Pettibone Park

Equipment and gear will be provided by the city to everyone who participates

LA CROSSE, Wis (WKBT) – Fishing with the family is a little bit easier thanks to La Crosse’s Parks and Rec Department. The department started the ‘Let’s Go Fishing’ event Saturday.

The family fishing event is being held again at Pettibone Park Lagoon Sunday. It will also be held next weekend as well.

Session one is from 9 A.M. to 11 A.M. and session two is from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M.

Equipment and gear will be provided by the city to everyone who participates.

“It’s just a friendly, family event. So everyone is just fishing for fun here. It’s just having fun throughout the last few weeks of summer here,” said DJ Xiong, the Special Event Assistant Coordinator.

Participants are encouraged to register in advance as space is limited to 15 people per session.
