Lexi Donarski playing in 3×3 national basketball tournament

Iowa State guard and Aquinas grad Lexi Donarski just doesn’t take time off from basketball. After winning Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and helping Iowa State reach a Sweet 16, she’s right back on the court for a different kind of national event.

Lexi and three other Iowa State teammates are representing the Cyclones for the USA Basketball and Red Bull 3×3 Nationals out in Massachusetts this weekend.
The tournament brings together 16 men’s teams and 16 women’s teams to showcase the best 3×3 players in the country.

The game’s played on a half court, clock is 10 minutes, 12-second shot clock, and the first team to 21 points or the team in the lead when the clock runs out wins.

Lexi and the Cyclones won their first game Friday over Tennessee by eight. They play again Saturday at 9:10 a.m. and then again at 4:10 p.m. CT.
