Lincoln Middle students visit Gundersen in La Crosse to explore careers
LA CROSSE (WKBT) — Lincoln Middle School students visited Gundersen Health System in La Crosse Wednesday to learn about the health-care industry.
Students met with hospital employees at Gundersen’s Green Bay building, where the employees gave a presentation about different career paths.
Career development experts say exposing kids to different jobs can help them move in the right direction when choosing their classes.
“It’s really important that our schools collaborate organizations like us to help provide this information to give kids that exposure so they can start narrowing down their choices and start thinking about what track they want to take in high school,” said Kim Jackson, a career development adviser.
The presentation was part of the La Crosse School District’s Career Adventure program.
