Linda Jeffers

Linda K. Jeffers, 73, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 27, 2021 at Vernon Manor in Viroqua, WI. Linda was born September 3, 1947, in Westby to Alf and Alice Larson.

Linda will be most remembered for her sweet and friendly personality and love for others. Linda loved caring for and helping other people, as she made a positive difference in the lives of those that surrounded her. Robert and Linda raised their sons on a farm near Chaseburg before spending 30 years as a nursing assistant at St. Joseph’s retirement home. What she loved most about her job was being able to care for people and the friendships she made but, her favorite job was being mother and grandmother to her sons and grandsons. Her favorite holiday was Christmas, for which she prepared all year long buying gifts and wrapping presents.

Linda and Robert enjoyed traveling all over the Midwest going to tractor shows, outdoor craft shows, including three trips to Florida to travel with the fly wheelers and camping with family and friends, and caring for her sister. She cherished the time with her friends and every moment with her family. Linda will be greatly missed, but she will always be in our hearts.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, sons Michael (Sherry), Dennis (Ella), Darron (Sara); three grandchildren Gavin, Gage, and Gibson and one brother Orin Larson. She is also survived by her husband’s family Mary and Paul Thicke, Therese and Jerry Smith, Tom and Pam Jeffers, and Ron and Carlene Jeffers.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Alf and Alice Larson, a brother Alvin Larson, a sister Natalie (Pat) Hanson and an aunt Dehlia Stendahlen.

A private service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Coon Valley. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, rural Genoa. The Seland Funeral Home in Coon Valley is assisting the family. Condolences may be given at selandsfuneralhome.com.
