Local businesses paying it forward
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)- Borton Construction is offering to match sales at different restaurants over the next few weeks.
The company is starting with Schmidty’s by matching their carryout sales on Tuesday, April 28th.
Borton says it chose to start with Schmidty’s because they did an extensive remodel to the bar/restaurant in 2000 and are grateful Schmidty’s had confidence in their start-up company back then.
In turn, Schmidty’s has decide to pay it forward too.
The restaurant will provide a night of family meals for the Boys and Girls clubs in La Crosse.
Through the generosity of our community, it will allow the Boys and Girls club to expand their “supper club” program, where they provide 300 meals a day to kids in need, to provide a full family meal to 10 additional families.
Also, Schilling Paper Company is donating whatever paper products are needed to put the family meals together for Schmidty’s.
