Local businesses team up to donate one-of-a-kind playhouse

Habitat for Humanity receives exact replica of antique brewery truck for annual Raise the Roof concert

The Habitat for Humanity received a one of a kind donation Tuesday.

Brickl Bros design and construction company teamed up with the Pearl Street Brewery to build a playhouse. It’s an exact replica of the Pearl Street  Brewery Grumman Truck.

The playhouse is just one of prizes in the Habitat’s raffle for it’s annual “Raise the Roof” fundraising campaign. The raffle prize is valued at $5,000.

Organizers say the playhouse turned better than they could have ever imagined.

Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Amanda Acklin says, “It really developed into something a lot more than we thought it was going to be. We thought it was just going to be just this tiny little house and it’s something that both adults and kids like to play in.”

They got really creative with using different things to make it authentic and fun.

Tickets are on sale at the Habitat Restore in Onalaska and Pearl Street Brewery.

Winner will be announced at the Raise the Roof concert at Pearl Street Brewery November 14th.
