Local health experts point to local resources to find baby formula
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – The baby formula shortage continues to affect families nationwide.
Experts say if you’re worried about running out, there are local resources that can help new parents find the formula they need.
“If any moms are struggling, reach out to your primary care provider who can get you connected to social work, can get you connected to our dietitians who may be able to provide education and resources,” said Emily Meyer, a social worker with Mayo Clinic Health System’s Family Birthplace.
Local resources include county health departments and food pantries that stock baby formula.
These experts also recommend calling ahead to stores to see if they have formula in stock before traveling with newborns.
