Local kids get to experience a wide variety of the outdoor recreation available in our region
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) — Organizers said Saturday’s 10th annual Youth Outdoor Fest was the “premier free event for youth to experience” the Seven Rivers Region’s outdoor recreation.
Kids could try out activities like fly fishing, rock climbing, archery, BB gun shooting, boat rides and much more at the event.
There were also animal demonstrations at Saturday’s event, including a dog demonstration and also an eagle presentation from The National Eagle Center.
“We’re so fortunate to have such a fantastic area to do that in here — that you can observe nature at its best,” said Dave Erickson, a La Crosse Parks and Recreation Department employee.
