Local Menards requiring customers to wear masks, Festival Foods requiring employees

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT)- Menards stores in La Crosse and Onalaska are starting to require customers wear masks.

The company released a statement that says, “We are asking all customers to wear a mask or face covering while inside our stores. If someone doesn’t have their own mask, we do have just enough masks to be able to sell one mask per person for $1 at our entrance doors. This is a very cost-effective way to protect people. We’re just trying to keep people safe.”

Menards stores in Eau Claire had already been requiring masks.

Also, beginning Saturday, May 2nd, all Festival Foods associates will be required to wear masks while working in stores.

Festival says in a Facebook post, “We have continued to follow the CDC’s guidance since the COVID-19 pandemic started and now, as we have ample supplies of masks for our associats, we’re taking additional precautions by requiring masks to be worn. We also strongly encourage our guests to wear masks when they are in our stores as well.”
