Local robotics teams hold pre-season scrimmage

LA CRESCENT, Minn. (WKBT)- The Seven River Robotics Coalition is hosting a pre-season scrimmage on Sunday, February 16 in La Crescent.

Eighteen teams from southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin are scheduled to participate in the event.

The Seven Rivers Robotics Coalition is a group of eleven area high school FIRST Robotics Competition teams including La Crescent, La Crosse Aquinas, Onalaska Luther, Houston, Caledonia, West Salem, Onalaska, Westby, Holmen, Trempealeau County, and Sparta.

The scrimmage will be at the La Crescent-Hokah High School from Noon to 4 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Visitors can meet the teams and learn about the process of building a robot in six weeks.
