Lucille Olson

Lucille Ann (Staloch) Olson, age 93 of Winona, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, July 9, 2021 at Winona Health.
Lucille was born on September 10, 1927 in Wells, Minnesota to Joseph and Victoria (Nowak) Staloch. She was united in marriage to Vernon E. Olson on September 30, 1950 and together they were blessed with 5 children, Bryan, Joseph, Steven, Ann, and David. Lucille worked as a nurse for Winona General Hospital until the new Winona Community Memorial Hospital was built in 1962. She also worked for St. Anne’s Healthcare until her retirement.
Lucille will remain in the hearts of her children, Bryan (Sharleen), Steven (Catherine), Ann (Brent) Wagner, and David (Shannon); 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Elaine and Margaret.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; son, Joseph; her parents, Joseph and Victoria; her brother, Roy and sister, Marcella.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 14, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone, MN, with the Reverend Chinnappa Pothireddy officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church. Lucille will be laid to rest in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Minnesota City. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Rollingstone. Hoff Celebration of Life Center – Goodview is assisting the family with arrangements.
