Lucille Edith Von Moos, our Mom, died at the age of 92 and joined our Dad in heaven on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.
Lucille was born November 9, 1928, in rural Houston, Minnesota, the last of eight children born to Fred and Augusta (Huebner) Beckman. She graduated from Storer Valley Grade School and later Houston High School in 1946. On July 31, 1948, Lucille was united in marriage to Lauren Keith Von Moos at the South Ridge Evangelical United Brethren Church/United Methodist Church of which she was a lifetime member and served in many different positions since her youth. Lauren preceded her in death on January 30, 2014.
Lucille worked at Trane Company in La Crosse for two years before her marriage. Later in her life when her children were in school, she worked for the Ridgeway Creamery for 26 years as a bookkeeper. She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always had many baked goods ready for visitors as well as ready to offer a meal before you left. She faithfully read the Bible daily until her vision began to decline.
After Lauren’s death, Lucille moved to Heritage Court Apartments in Houston, where she made many friends. She had been a resident of La Crescent Health Services since July of 2020.
She is survived by two children, Roger (Judy) Von Moos of Houston and Rachel (Jeffrey) Erdmann of La Crescent; four grandchildren, Jeremy (Jennifer) Erdmann of Floris, Iowa, Emily (Miguel) Guerrero of Chula Vista, Calif., Adam Von Moos and Angela Von Moos (fiancé, Christian Rundhaugen), both of Houston; three great- grandchildren, Ethan and Owen Erdmann of Floris, Iowa, and Ivana Guerrero of Chula Vista; two sisters-in-law, Adeline Beckman and Fern (Ralph) Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 27, at South Ridge United Methodist Church in rural La Crescent. Lucille’s grandniece, Kim Ness, and Rev. Debbie King-Quale will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
