Make-a-Wish presents check to Logan High student

Over the past year, News 8 has brought you the story of Myles Knoble, a La Crosse Logan student who was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Myles is now in remission and could be declared cancer-free in 5 years. As we told you earlier this week, Myles is now being granted a wish from the Make-a-Wish Foundation to take a trip to Florida with his family.

Wednesday night, the UW-La Crosse Make-a-Wish club presented him with a check for $6000 to help pay for that trip.

Myles says he continues to be amazed at the kindness of the community.

“I never really expected it, it’s really above and beyond,” said Knoble. “It’s cool to see the community gather for anybody that struggles, and I’m happy they’re there for me as well.”

Myles and his family will be heading to Florida in July. After that, he’s headed to UW-Eau Claire to study finance.
