Man accused of robbery is identified by mom, turns himself in
A man accused of robbing several New York businesses while wearing a surgical mask was identified by his mother and subsequently turned himself in.
Suffolk County police say the 50-year-old man turned himself in Monday after his mother positively identified him based on a police drawing.
The Associated Press reports the man was arraigned on five counts of first-degree robbery stemming from incidents between Feb. 17 and Saturday.
