Man arrested after he poses as nurse

A 23-year-old Pennsylvania man was arrested after he posed as a nurse during an emergency situation.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports Kyle M. Jones appeared with members of UPMC Presbyterian Hospital “Rapid Response Team” during an emergency. Hospital staff became suspicious of Jones, because not only did no one recognize him, but he also had no valid identification or employee badge.

Staff called police to report Jones, who told officers he worked as a registered nurse for “Visiting Angels,” a private company that provides home care service to seniors. Authorities later discovered Jones was not licensed as a nurse.

Jones has been charged with felony trespassing, impersonating a private employee, pretending to hold a professional license and disorderly conduct. He was booked into the Allegheny County Jail on $5,000 bond.
